The Makkan Siege: In Defense of Juhaymān March 20, 2008

Imām Juhaymān رحمه الله said:

“Then when his (‘Abdul ‘Azīz – may Allāh curse him) kingdom was established and goal achieved, he then allied himself with the Christians. And he stopped the continuation of the Jihād in the path of Allāh outside of Jazīrah (Arab Lands). Thus when they (Ikhwān) went out to fight the Mushrikīn of ‘Irāq who called ‘Alī and Fātimah and Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein with Allāh (in Shirk), they named them –him [‘Abdul Azīz] and the Shuyūkh of ignorance with him - with a name which the people of Islām hates and it is Khawārij; while the Ikhwān did not rebel against him and they did not obey him when he forbade them from Jihād, and after he named them khawārij, he incited those who did not go out with them (Ikhwān) to fight them.”

Hence after deeply thinking, it is clear that the puppet scholars of the tāghūt have amplified the matter as to make the people hate him so much that he is portrayed as a traitor, a Dajjāl, a devious kāfir and corrupter. Thus they did this so none would even want to hear the arguments of Juhaymān رحمه الله. And it is similar to the attempted character assassination of the likes of Sayyid Qutb رحمه الله by the likes of Rabī’u and other rented donkeys of the Salūlī Government.

Shukran inshallah shaheed for this knowledge piece, i used to hear abt this issue but never went deep. nway jazakallah Kheyr.
one thing iz that i was realy surprised by the way the writer took the issue of juhayman anouncing his brother in law as the mahdy to be smthng light….. indeed the sahaba made mistakes but they never took arms against ppl in making them understand the mistake.

nway i got a very interesting piece of work which was writen by a kafir who extensively researched on the issue of juhayman liniking the sheykh to Al-Albany, Madkhali n others , i dont mean they were part of the movement…but influenced movement ideologically. This is the link of the paper

http://moyen-orient.sciences-po.fr/articles_pour_revue_en_ligne/17042007%20Hegghammer%20%20Lacroix%20-%20Juhayman%20-%20Website%20version.pdf

And lastly where can we get translated versions of juhayman’s letters?

Again Shukran Jazakallahu Kheyr.

Jazakullah Khair for the link. I’ll take a look at it.

As for Juhaymaan announcing his brother in law as the Mahdi, you have to understand that they were not fighting based upon this. Rather, Juhaymaan entered Masjid al-Haraam to fight al-Salool whom he viewed as a criminal. And so the army of the Murtadeen and Kuffaar attacked him in the Haraam, so he and his followers had to defend themselves from the attack.

And as for the translations of his works, you won’t find it anywhere… the author of this book translated some portions of Juhayman’s articles by himself.

i don’t get it. anyone can just go into the Haram with weapons, stop the tawaf and endanger the muslims. Anyone can just go and endanger the lives of innocent muslims in the holiest house.

where is the daleel for this? i also hate the co-operation of the saudi government with the usa, but is it then right for me to do the same?

revolution:”As for Juhaymaan announcing his brother in law as the Mahdi, you have to understand that they were not fighting based upon this. Rather, Juhaymaan entered Masjid al-Haraam to fight al-Salool whom he viewed as a criminal. ”

So Juhayman’s corrupted view that his brother was the mahdi doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with him and his followers actions of taking over the mosque and endangering the lives of innocent muslims? YES, they were innocent muslim bystanders. did they ask to be included in the plot of Juhayman and his group. And if juhayman and his group didn’t intend using the muslims in the Haram for their plot, then why did it take so long to release them from the Haram?
c’mon bro. open your eyes.

The unsubstantiated view of Juhayman and his group that Juhayman’s brother was the mahdi, WAS the other half of their motivation and actions. i’m not condoning the actions of the saudi government in brining the foreign kufaar forces to end the siege/takeover but you have to ask: why did it take so long for Juhayman to release all the innocent bystanders [muslims] if they didn’t need them in their plot? Human shields come to mind…

Why didn’t Juhayman go to the saudi government buildings and do his takeover there? Why use the Haram as the stage for his actions? It’s obvious: He really strongly believed that his brother was the mahdi. Juhayman and his group followed a course of action motivated by this.

To Dukhan,

Judging by the questions you are asking, it seems that you barely or didn’t even read the book on Juhayman.

All of your questions are answered there (and look carefully in the footnotes).

7. dukhan - May 2, 2008

To revolution,

why did he do it in the haram.

why didn’t he go to the saudi government buildings or have street announcemnets that his brother is the mahdi?

the man is dead, so i’m not trying to be disrespectful, but i’m trying to understand what daleel he used to try and justify endangering so many muslims while he barricaded himself and group in the Haram?

What is the view of Shaikh al-Albani, Shaikh Bilal Philips, Shaikh Bin Baz on this issue? If anyone has any quotes or comments by them it would be interesting to see what they said of the incident.

8. revolution - May 3, 2008

Dukhan,

We will never know why he did it in the Haram; this is something which only Allah knows.

The same with going to the Govt. Buildings.

As for the Daleel, it is in that book. Please read it carefully.

Bin Baaz was surprised he did it since he dearly loved Juhayman and saw him as a knowledgeable person.
