Lately, the news of Shaykh Abu Hamza al-Muhaajir’s arrest has been circulating. The news was started by the Murtadeen of ‘Iraaq and even the US Govt. was not able to confirm.

Then this report came out:

Captured militant not al-qaeda chief: US

The US military today denied that Al-Qaeda in Iraq chief Abu Ayyub al-Masri - who carries a US bounty of $US5 million ($5.3 million), had been captured by security forces.

US military spokeswoman Major Peggy Kageleiry said the arrested individual was not Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, whose real name according to the military is Abu Ayyub al-Masri.

On Thursday, state television Al-Iraqiya reported that a man calling himself Muhajir was captured by Iraqi forces in the northern province of Nineveh.

“They did not catch Abu Hamza al-Muhajir. Somebody with same name but not connected with him. It is not him,” Kageleiry said.

And there is also this report from BBC News:

Iraq al-Qaeda chief not captured

The United States military in Iraq says a man detained in the northern city of Mosul is not in fact the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq.

An earlier statement from the Iraqi defence ministry said that al-Masri had been captured.

But an American military spokeswoman, Peggy Kageleiry, said Abu Ayyub al-Masri had not been arrested.

She said confusion had arisen because a man with a similar name to the al-Qaeda in Iraq leader had been detained.

We have not yet seen any official report coming from the Islamic State of ‘Iraaq (unless if we missed it), but since the Kuffaar are now denying the arrest, then there’s a good chance that the Murtadeen were lying.

May Allah’s curse be upon them.

May Allah allow the Mujaahideen to slaughter them like they do every day.

Usually these rectifications are kept very low profile and most people don’t see them… I’m not sure if that is either funny or really sad.

Another thing I want to ask, you have posted a couple of remarkable stories on the mujahidun, I can recall a story where a couple of mujahidun got away from American soldiers in Afghanistan because the soldiers went crazy and started shooting in the sky for no reason, another story I remember is a mysterious bombardment on NATO-troops in Bosnia, during a night when no group of mujahidun said to have attacked. Unfortuantly I can’t find the stories anymore. Can you help me? Could you either repost them here, on the frontpage or e-mail me? Any other story is more than welcome too!

Lieberman and Collins quoted Defense Secretary Robert Gates as saying last November: “We are miserable at communicating to the rest of the world what we are about as a society and a culture. … It is just plain embarrassing that Al Qaeda is better at communicating its message on the Internet than America.”

well said oh kaafir…
