Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem
This is a message and suggestion from us - the bloggers of inshallahshaheed - to all of those brothers/sisters who are actively engaging in translating beneficial Jihadi works for the Muslim Ummah such as GIMF, Al-Fajr, Al-Ansar Media Battalion, al-Firdaws, at-Tibyan, Dar al-Murabiteen, Jihad Media Battalion - as well as the independent translators -
as-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
As the war on Islaam intensifies, our strategies must continuously adopt the priorities in order to confront the campaign of the Zionist Crusaders and the Hypocrites. Part of the struggle in the war against Global Kufr is to expound the Haqq to mankind in general, and the Muslims in specific so that the general support for the vanguard of Islaam becomes strong and sympathy is widespread. To an extent, we have succeeded greatly to which our enemies are admitting in Washington - and we ask Allah to keep the intentions of our brothers and sisters sincere and to reward them many folds.
However, we should never be satisfied with our efforts by thinking to ourselves that we have done everything possible; verily, we have not exhausted all of the efforts needed. There are many ranks within the global Jihaad which are freely available for us to take; besides our fighters and commanders, we have our scholars, preachers, hackers, programmers, analysts, writers, audio/visual experts, uploaders, and so on. But you my dear brothers/sisters, also play a major role in this battle and that is the role of translations. Translations are important for many reasons; of the most important of them is to disseminate the reality of the Haqq as well as the current events in the lands of the Muslims. All languages are important to translate the Arabic works into, but one of the most important is the English language due to the fact that English is widely spoken amongst the globalized world. The English language acts as a liaison between people today, hence the reason why Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri spoke English for the first time in the latest As-Sahab release.
Here, we would like to give a suggestion since many of us are witnessing an empty gap in the translation department. While it is extremely beneficial to have the works of our Scholars and Jihadi leaders translated as well as the latest videos from the Mujaahideen - and we kindly ask that you keep working on that, an important part missing from the big picture are the Jihadi magazines. By Jihadi magazines, we are referring to magazines such as:
1. Sada’ al-Jihad
2. Sawt al-Jihad
3. Al-Somood
4. Qadaya Jihadiyya
5. Sada al-Malahim
6. Hassad al-Mujahideen
7. Munasir
8. Majallat al-Ansar
9. Jannat
10. Ansar-Jihad
11. As-Sahab Media
12. Al-Furqan Media
13. GIMF
And the list goes on.
The percentage of translated magazines into the English language is way below 5%. Considering the importance of understanding the current conflict and the many events which take place between Haqq and Baatil in the eyes of the Mujaahideen, this is not a good percentage. For those of you that read Arabic and have gone through just some of these magazines will know what we are referring to when we say “current conflict and the many events which take place.”
If it were not for a few translated pieces of Majallat al-Ansar’s issue on the first anniversary of 9/11, many of us would still have tons of questions in regards to the goals and motives of the global Jihaad effort. The same can be said on many issues that are outlined in the magazines such as the reality on the ground in ‘Iraaq (as “Asad al-Jihaad 2″ has portrayed in Ansar-Jihad’s release, “Watabqa Dawlatul Islaami Shaamikhaa”), the issue of contemporary tatarrus (as Shaykh Abu Yahya al-Libi detailed in As-Sahab’s release), the issue “Applying the Shari’ah… Whose Responsibility?” (as explained in Sada’ al-Jihad, issue 26), and the various opinions of the Mujaahideen regarding the events on the international stage; and all of this is so that we may fully understand and adopt the mentality of our brothers who are on the vanguard of Islaam. This is because they have first-hand experience and knowledge of what goes on and they have experience and knowledge with the leaders and think-tanks of the Mujaahidoon.
For us Muslims who don’t know much Arabic, we don’t benefit and we sit in the dust, just hoping everything is alright. Sometimes we do know through the video releases and sometimes things change. We also want to benefit from the stories of the contemporary Shuhada’ and know how Allah is helping the Mujaahideen through His miracles throughout the lands of Jihaad; these are mostly detailed in the magazines.
Unarguably, the Jihadi magazines bring to light the current issues and sheds light upon them from those who are battling in Allah’s path; and their wisdom is extremely apparent to those who have knowledge of the Arabic language. Indeed, it is a religious duty to learn Arabic - and the Muslims should not abandon this duty - but it doesn’t mean we all learn Arabic overnight or that our future generations pick up Arabic at an early age; it takes a lot of time and effort and some of us don’t have that time to give unfortunately.
So this call is to all the translators. It is a call to start adding a new strategy in your translations and that is the magazines. A detailed translation would be very nice to have, but a summary is also acceptable. The point is so that this “culture of Jihaad” can be passed on throughout our communities, from person to person, in order to soothe the hearts of the believers. Just an individual amongst us who hardly knows Arabic and says to another brother (after being asked about the current situation of the Jihaad in ‘Iraaq) that the situation is “good” is not sufficient, especially when they want details of what’s going on or “the latest”; and the military reports (which Alhamdullilah, are translated) are not sufficient either since they don’t give the in-depth opinions of the Mujaahideen. Most of the times, it is just a list of praiseworthy actions or a statement regarding a major operation and sometimes, its an FYI (For Your Information). But it’s nothing like the magazines which discuss the issues in-depth and takes it a step further by talking about ‘Iraaq (or other lands or issues) from the perspective of Shaykh Zarqawi or Shaykh Husayn bin Mahmood or Shaykh Abu Yahya al-Libi and so on.
If our translators can start working on bits and pieces of magazines which they feel are important, then that will be an excellent start.
We pray to Allah that He continues to give the Muslims His aid and support and to give the Mujaahideen a sweeping victory.
And our final prayer is that all praises are due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

Translation of an Audio Khutbah
By Shaykh Abdul-Majeed Al-Munee’ (may Allah have mercy on him)

“The Islamic nation has witnessed a long period of humiliation, in which blood has been spilt, the torn-off limbs have multiplied, the injuries have increased, and the cries of the Muslims have risen in many lands, such as Palestine, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kosovo, Turkmenistan, Iraq, the Philippines, Indonesia, the Arabian Peninsula and other Muslim countries.
And after this humiliation and disgrace, the lions of Islam and the lights in the darkness stood up when they realized that the cause for this humiliation is the Muslims’ distance from Islam and from Jihad for the sake of Allah, in accordance with the words of the truthful and believed one, Prophet Muhammad (may the Blessing and Peace of Allah be upon him):
“When you conduct transactions by Al-’Eenah (a type of usury), take hold of the tails of cows, content yourself with agriculture and abandon Jihad; Allah will cover you with a humiliation and will not lift it from you, until you return to your Deen (to Jihad).”
So they returned to Jihad, placed their fingers on the triggers, and they began fighting the people of disbelief, stubbornness, tyranny and corruption. And so Allah opened up for them a great victory, and their campaigns became a part of history that will never be forgotten, and their battles against the enemy became a blazing flame. Therefore, they are the lions of [important] happenings and the heroes of the milestones. Allah guided them to the most-righteous path and the only solution to this shameful situation, and that is Jihad for the Sake of the Lord of the Worlds, for iron can only be dented by iron.”

[1] Note: “Wa Islamah” literally means “O Islam“, but “Wa” is different than “Ya“, in that it is used metaphorically, while only some said it can be used literally. It can also be for finding something unbelievable or strange.

In this era in which the Muslims are living a life of humiliation and disgrace, they have lost the characteristics of guidance from within themselves, and the Rope of AllÄh that He united them upon – the Rope of establishment and leadership - has been cut, so they have become insignificant in front of themselves and in front of their enemies. Falsehood prances around in their countries, and the trend of apostasy has become the strongest and the most dominant. And the ties of evil between [the people of] internal apostasy and [those of] outward Kufr have been fortified. The Muslims have become busy with entertainment and vanity, and the IslÄmic parties and groups summon one another to the ideas of men and their IjtihÄd, far away from the Source of Guidance and Light – the Book of AllÄh and the Sunnah of His Messenger. And the [state] of Ghurbah (estrangement) has intensified for those who are holding fast to this Guidance, and their souls long for the coming Divine Promise – Victory or martyrdom.
In this time and this present-day Ghurbah – the Ghurbah of the Religion and its teachings, and the Ghurbah of the people of Truth and their trial – we offer the Muslims this treatise of ours. It calls you, O Muslim, to understand the Truth by way of it, and guides you to the Correct Path, and to our belief that we are not an innovation [in this] era, rather we are one group from the groups of this Party – the Party of JihÄd and Truth. We promised ourselves – with the Help of AllÄh and His TawfÄ«q – that we would hold fast to this Party so long as there remains within us a vein that pulsates, or a breath that stammers…

So it is not like DÄr Al-IslÄm Al-Asliyyah (original DÄr Al-IslÄm) where the people of the book are known by differentiation (like wearing clothes that distinguishes them), and the Murtadd is not to settle in it under any circumstance.. So the Asl in all its inhabitants besides Ahl Al-KitÄb is that they are Muslims, and due to this, the Messenger of AllÄh, صلى الله عليه وسلم, ordered that in it a man should give SalÄm to those who are known and those who are not known [9] and as such, the FuqahÄ’ wrote and frequently used his statement “The Asl in DÄr Al-IslÄm is IslÄm” as evidence in the branches of Fiqh.
Nor is it at the status of DÄr Al-Harb, whose people are KuffÄr and was not ever on any day DÄr Al-IslÄm, nor were the majority of its people Muslims. So then, it is not DÄr Kufr Asliyyah, but rather before the KuffÄr overpowered it, it was DÄr Al-IslÄm, and the majority of its people were Muslims. And due to this, it is not authorized to rule over its people and interact with them in accordance with these terminologies, due to their (the terminologies’) lack of precision. Rather, whoever manifests IslÄm, his blood and wealth is protected, and he is treated with the treatment of the Muslims. And whoever is outside of the SharÄ«’ah of IslÄm is treated with what he deserves. So his (Ibn Taymiyyah’s) words, may AllÄh have Mercy on him, are clear, there is no deception in them.
But the issue, as he mentioned, may AllÄh have Mercy on him, is in a matter other than this… Indeed the gathering of desire with doubt will strengthen the cause for doubt and bequeath corruption of the knowledge and the understanding.
