This is a translation of Shaykh Sa’eed’s interview with GEO TV by the brothers from GIMF. The video only shows the first half of the translated interview; to continue, you’ll have to read the PDF or Word document that comes with the download.
Shaykh Sa’eed sits in a tent in a remote area, perhaps between the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan whilst conducting the interview. This shows that the people like him - who are high targets in the US’ eyes - are mobile and will probably no longer experience something called “home” due to dangers of staying in a single place for a long period of time. Of course, this doesn’t worry him or people like him because they look forward to their palace in Paradise, In Sha’ Allah.
The interview itself is quite fruitful. The questions which he is asked are as follows; the ones which we have bolded appear the most interesting:
- Some people amongst the masses in Pakistan think that Al-Qaeda was formed by the US to expel the Russians from Afghanistan. So they sent Usama bin Ladin to Afghanistan to use him against the Russians.
- Tell us why Al-Qaeda is fighting Jihad against the US.
- Is there any difference between the US government and its masses, or do you consider its masses as your enemy?
- The US claims that it has successfully occupied Afghanistan and brought the resistance under control.
- America says that the main planner of 9/11 was Khalid Sheikh. What do you say about this?
- What do you see as the future of the Karzai Government in Afghanistan?
- Does Al-Qaeda have the support of any government in the Muslim world? If not, then why not?
- Is there any government in the Muslim world that has greatly damaged jihad and the mujahideen?
- How many mujahideen from Al-Qaeda took part in the 9/11 attacks and who was the mastermind?
- Are you receiving help from the Pakistani tribal areas in the jihad against America in Afghanistan?
- Did Al-Qaeda carry out the attack on the Embassy of Denmark?
- What is Al-Qaeda’s stance regarding suicide operations. Are suicide operations allowed in Islam?
- There was an attack on the former Pakistani interior minister Sherpao in a mosque. Do you consider this attack correct?
His views regarding the third question might shock many and this is because it needs time for people to think over. He basically says there is no difference for various reasons, one of which is because the masses vote for their leaders which implies that they willingly want a Kafir Crusader to lead the Country that will fight Islam. However, he mentions that there are sensible people in the United States who are against their government; his advice to them is to stop the injustices of their Government and to do their best in preventing the people from electing the candidates. This is one of the reasons why voting leads to Kufr because one is giving help to the enemy of Allah without even being coerced to do so.

Bismillah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem
This is a message and suggestion from us - the bloggers of inshallahshaheed - to all of those brothers/sisters who are actively engaging in translating beneficial Jihadi works for the Muslim Ummah such as GIMF, Al-Fajr, Al-Ansar Media Battalion, al-Firdaws, at-Tibyan, Dar al-Murabiteen, Jihad Media Battalion - as well as the independent translators -
as-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
As the war on Islaam intensifies, our strategies must continuously adopt the priorities in order to confront the campaign of the Zionist Crusaders and the Hypocrites. Part of the struggle in the war against Global Kufr is to expound the Haqq to mankind in general, and the Muslims in specific so that the general support for the vanguard of Islaam becomes strong and sympathy is widespread. To an extent, we have succeeded greatly to which our enemies are admitting in Washington - and we ask Allah to keep the intentions of our brothers and sisters sincere and to reward them many folds.
However, we should never be satisfied with our efforts by thinking to ourselves that we have done everything possible; verily, we have not exhausted all of the efforts needed. There are many ranks within the global Jihaad which are freely available for us to take; besides our fighters and commanders, we have our scholars, preachers, hackers, programmers, analysts, writers, audio/visual experts, uploaders, and so on. But you my dear brothers/sisters, also play a major role in this battle and that is the role of translations. Translations are important for many reasons; of the most important of them is to disseminate the reality of the Haqq as well as the current events in the lands of the Muslims. All languages are important to translate the Arabic works into, but one of the most important is the English language due to the fact that English is widely spoken amongst the globalized world. The English language acts as a liaison between people today, hence the reason why Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri spoke English for the first time in the latest As-Sahab release.
Here, we would like to give a suggestion since many of us are witnessing an empty gap in the translation department. While it is extremely beneficial to have the works of our Scholars and Jihadi leaders translated as well as the latest videos from the Mujaahideen - and we kindly ask that you keep working on that, an important part missing from the big picture are the Jihadi magazines. By Jihadi magazines, we are referring to magazines such as:
1. Sada’ al-Jihad
2. Sawt al-Jihad
3. Al-Somood
4. Qadaya Jihadiyya
5. Sada al-Malahim
6. Hassad al-Mujahideen
7. Munasir
8. Majallat al-Ansar
9. Jannat
10. Ansar-Jihad
11. As-Sahab Media
12. Al-Furqan Media
13. GIMF
And the list goes on.
The percentage of translated magazines into the English language is way below 5%. Considering the importance of understanding the current conflict and the many events which take place between Haqq and Baatil in the eyes of the Mujaahideen, this is not a good percentage. For those of you that read Arabic and have gone through just some of these magazines will know what we are referring to when we say “current conflict and the many events which take place.”
If it were not for a few translated pieces of Majallat al-Ansar’s issue on the first anniversary of 9/11, many of us would still have tons of questions in regards to the goals and motives of the global Jihaad effort. The same can be said on many issues that are outlined in the magazines such as the reality on the ground in ‘Iraaq (as “Asad al-Jihaad 2″ has portrayed in Ansar-Jihad’s release, “Watabqa Dawlatul Islaami Shaamikhaa”), the issue of contemporary tatarrus (as Shaykh Abu Yahya al-Libi detailed in As-Sahab’s release), the issue “Applying the Shari’ah… Whose Responsibility?” (as explained in Sada’ al-Jihad, issue 26), and the various opinions of the Mujaahideen regarding the events on the international stage; and all of this is so that we may fully understand and adopt the mentality of our brothers who are on the vanguard of Islaam. This is because they have first-hand experience and knowledge of what goes on and they have experience and knowledge with the leaders and think-tanks of the Mujaahidoon.
For us Muslims who don’t know much Arabic, we don’t benefit and we sit in the dust, just hoping everything is alright. Sometimes we do know through the video releases and sometimes things change. We also want to benefit from the stories of the contemporary Shuhada’ and know how Allah is helping the Mujaahideen through His miracles throughout the lands of Jihaad; these are mostly detailed in the magazines.
Unarguably, the Jihadi magazines bring to light the current issues and sheds light upon them from those who are battling in Allah’s path; and their wisdom is extremely apparent to those who have knowledge of the Arabic language. Indeed, it is a religious duty to learn Arabic - and the Muslims should not abandon this duty - but it doesn’t mean we all learn Arabic overnight or that our future generations pick up Arabic at an early age; it takes a lot of time and effort and some of us don’t have that time to give unfortunately.
So this call is to all the translators. It is a call to start adding a new strategy in your translations and that is the magazines. A detailed translation would be very nice to have, but a summary is also acceptable. The point is so that this “culture of Jihaad” can be passed on throughout our communities, from person to person, in order to soothe the hearts of the believers. Just an individual amongst us who hardly knows Arabic and says to another brother (after being asked about the current situation of the Jihaad in ‘Iraaq) that the situation is “good” is not sufficient, especially when they want details of what’s going on or “the latest”; and the military reports (which Alhamdullilah, are translated) are not sufficient either since they don’t give the in-depth opinions of the Mujaahideen. Most of the times, it is just a list of praiseworthy actions or a statement regarding a major operation and sometimes, its an FYI (For Your Information). But it’s nothing like the magazines which discuss the issues in-depth and takes it a step further by talking about ‘Iraaq (or other lands or issues) from the perspective of Shaykh Zarqawi or Shaykh Husayn bin Mahmood or Shaykh Abu Yahya al-Libi and so on.
If our translators can start working on bits and pieces of magazines which they feel are important, then that will be an excellent start.
We pray to Allah that He continues to give the Muslims His aid and support and to give the Mujaahideen a sweeping victory.
And our final prayer is that all praises are due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

Mashaa’Allaah, the Jihaad Media is focusing on various Communities around the globe. No longer is it the Arab and Western world that is under their focus (for translations), but also now the Iranians, Pakistani’s, Russians and so on. This release happens to be in Farsi.
