The following is taken from al-Jazeera:

FRIDAY, APRIL 04, 2008
22:37 MECCA TIME, 19:37 GMT

A US military aircraft has crash landed at the al-Udeid military base in Qatar.

The B1 bomber reportedly suffered technical difficulties and exploded as it attempted to land at the base about 35km from the capital Doha late on Friday.

There was no immediate information about casualties from the incident.

The B1 Lancer is a supersonic, long-range bomber which carries a crew of four people.

Last month, a B-1 bomber slid off the runway at Anderson Air Force base on Guam, crashing into a group of emergency vehicles. The military reported that there were no injuries and no fatalities as a result of the accident.

Whether or not that aircraft was shot down by the Mujaahideen (which is probably the case), all we have to say is:

فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ رَمَى

You killed them not, but Allâh killed them. And you threw not when you did throw but it was Allâh who threw… (8:17)

Alhamdullilah. We thank and praise our Lord, the Most Kind, for bringing damage upon the ‘Adaa of Allah Ta’aala.

We usually don’t post these kind of news items, but this caught our eye. We don’t have any way of knowing the truth behind this story, but it certainly sounds intriguing. If this is true, it is basically about a Muslim singer who gave up singing after realizing its sin and darkness and his tarbiyyah went all the way to its peak; participating in Jihaad fe Sabeelillaah in Afghanistan. The source is questionable and are much worse than al-Jazeera; however, we don’t deny that such a story probably does exist. Wallahu ‘Alam. As for him changing his life, it’s believable; here is a video about him. This is the story:

Retired Kuwaiti pop star joins al-Qaeda
A dream about death made him quit
DUBAI (AlArabiya.net)
A retired Kuwaiti superstar singer has recently the Gulf emirate for Afghanistan to join ranks with al-Qaeda and Taliban in fighting foreign troops there, according to a press report published Saturday.

Hussein al-Ahmad, who was until recently one of the Gulf’s most famous pop stars, decided to join “his brother Mujahideen in Afghanistan to support Islam and fight along his fellow Muslims of al-Qaeda”, reported Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai Saturday.

Al-Ahmad has previously told Kuwait’s Al-Rai TV that the reason he decided to quit singing was “a dream” where he saw his “own journey from this world into the Hereafter through death”.

“I’ve seen horrors and terrors I don’t think anybody else have. I thanked Allah for being alive when I woke up and I was grateful for the fact that He has given me a second chance,” the retired singer had said.

“I then informed my family and friends that I would retire from the dark world of sin (singing). Since then, my job has been to warn against arts and their sinning atmosphere.”

The retired singer will soon appear in his new military outfit in Afghanistan, in a video expected soon in a website known to be close to al-Qaeda extremists, according to the paper.
