Is it permissible to fight alongside the Paki Regime against India? December 3, 2008

Since there is a possibility of war breaking out between India and Pakistan, the question arises: Is it permissible for a Muslim to join the Pakistani Army to fight the Indian Army?

A very nice and detailed answer was provided by one of the Admins of al-Firdaws:

Walikum assalaam,

As for fighting along side with Kafir Pakistani army against Indians, then this is NOT permissible, as the Prophet (saas) said:

Vol 4, Book 52. Fighting For The Cause Of Allah
Hadith 065. (Sahih Bukhari)
Narrated By Abu Musa: A man came to the Prophet and asked, “A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah’s Cause?” The Prophet said, “He who fights that Allah’s Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah’s Cause.”

And surely who is led by a Kafir Pakistani army leader, and under the banner of Kuffar, is not fighting for the sake of Allah.. because the fact is: He is fighting for this Kafir regime to remain, and not to establish the Islamic Sharia.

But Ibn Taimiyah mentioned in Al-Fatawa that who fights alongside with Kuffar against Kuffar.. then he will be raised on the day of Judgment according to his intention.

But, is this action considered Kufr?.. the answer is NO.. as long as he is fighting against Kuffar and hates the Kufr of the Pakistani regime.

Will he be considered a martyr if he misunderstood the evidences and thought it is permissible, not because he loves Kufr, but because he sees Pakistan’s regime are more Islamic than Indian?

The answer is yes, insha’Allah.. as long as he seeks the interest of Muslims.. although his procedure is wrong.

I remember in this place one great jurist, when a group of Khawarij waged Jihad against the Murtaddeen in the Islamic West (i.e. Al-Maghrib).. he joined them and fought alongside with them against the Murtaddeen of Al-Qaramitah.

After he came back he was asked: Did you really fight alongside with the Khawarij??.. he said: yes, I fight alongside with the sinners against the disbelievers.

So what can Muslims do in this case?

It is simple.. they can have their OWN group and their OWN banner.. and it will be fine insha’Allah to co-operate with the Paki army without disclosing the secrets of Muslims to them and without joining them.. just like two seperate armies fighting the same enemy.

The Prophet (saas) said: ” You will conduct a truce with the Romans and both you and they will invade a mutual enemy from behind; you will be safe and acquire war possessions. Then, you will make camp by marj dhu tulul. A Roman man will stand up and raise a cross saying, ‘The cross has won victory!’ A man from among the Muslims will stand up and kill him. Then the Romans will break the truce, and the wars will start. They will gather their forces to face you and come in eighty divisions, each division having ten thousand (soldiers).” [Reported by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah and Ibn Hibban]

Remember when some scholars told the Muslims of Iraq to join the Iraqi army to defend the Muslims or Iraq?.. are you aware of what happened?.. the Iraqi Kuffar generals handed over the Mujahideen to Shia and Americans.. and betrayed them.

Kuffar can never be trusted and can never lead Muslims.

After all, Allah knows best

Hakimullah Mehsud, the commander of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (Movement of Pakistani Taliban) in three tribal agencies, warned on November 26, that the key supply route to Afghanistan could be blocked if the US military continues to launch airstrikes on Pakistani soil. Landlocked Afghanistan receives most of its imports via the Pakistani sea port of Karachi.

UK Mujahid who escaped PK Authority becomes Shaheed November 22, 2008

Rashid Rauf, rahimahullah, may Allah accept him amongst the Shuhada’. Since the news is coming from the Kuffaar, we cannot confirm it; if he’s alive, we ask Allah to preserve him and if he’s killed, we ask Allah to grant him the status of the Shaheed.

Rashid Rauf has quite an interesting story. He’s a Pakistani native that held a dual citizenship of UK and Pakistan. He left the UK to Pakistan around 2002 and got married to the daughter of the Mujahid Shaykh, Maulana Masood Azhar, hafidhullah. After the 2006 transatlantic plot to liquid bomb the airplanes, the UK Government went after him and charged him with being the ring-leader of the group. He was arrested by the Pakistani authorities and confined to a cell-like cage that was so small that when he laid on his back and put his knees up, the tips of his knees would touch the ceiling. He was brutally beaten and tortured by both American and British agents including the use of electric shocks. He was then brought to court in Rawalpindi and the judge ruled that there was too little evidence to connect him with the UK plots, however he was charged with forgery and carrying explosives. After appearing at an Islamabad court, he asked the two officers in charge of him if he could pray at a Masjid and they agreed. By the permission of Allah, he escaped the Masjid and left without a trace. There are some speculations surrounding his ‘mysterious disappearance,’ and Allah knows best which story is the most correct. If this account is accurate, then it’s clear that he fled towards NWFP and to even perhaps find a safe haven from amongst the Mujahideen. Today, it has been reported by the Kuffaar that he was killed in North Waziristan by a missile strike from the American terrorists. We ask Allah to accept him amongst the Shuhada’.

Alhamdullilah, this Murtad was eliminated. We don’t know who has done it, but it is good to see one Murtad go. These are the type of people who fight for the sake of nationalism, and not for the sake of Allah Ta’ala, for if they were truly fighting fe Sabeelillah, they would join the ranks of those who seek to establish the Shari’ah and wage global Jihad.

The following is taken from BBC News:

A former chief of Pakistan’s elite military commandos has been killed in a targeted attack near the capital Islamabad, police officials say.

They say that retired General Amir Faisal Alvi and his driver were shot dead on the main highway leading into the city.

[...]

Their deaths have been blamed on their support for the US-led “war on terror”.

[...]

“General Alvi’s car was stopped on the highway near Bahria Town by three armed men,” Inspector Mohammad Arshad, who is in charge of the investigation, told the BBC.

“The men then sprayed the car in which the general was travelling with bullets. Both he and his driver were killed instantaneously.”

Witnesses told police that the killers travelled by motorbike and jeep and fled the scene immediately after carrying out the crime.

“It seems like a well-planned and executed attack,” Inspector Arshad said.

GEO TV: Interview with Shaykh Mustapha Abu al-Yazeed [English] November 18, 2008

This is a translation of Shaykh Sa’eed’s interview with GEO TV by the brothers from GIMF. The video only shows the first half of the translated interview; to continue, you’ll have to read the PDF or Word document that comes with the download.

Shaykh Sa’eed sits in a tent in a remote area, perhaps between the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan whilst conducting the interview. This shows that the people like him - who are high targets in the US’ eyes - are mobile and will probably no longer experience something called “home” due to dangers of staying in a single place for a long period of time. Of course, this doesn’t worry him or people like him because they look forward to their palace in Paradise, In Sha’ Allah.

The interview itself is quite fruitful. The questions which he is asked are as follows; the ones which we have bolded appear the most interesting:

His views regarding the third question might shock many and this is because it needs time for people to think over. He basically says there is no difference for various reasons, one of which is because the masses vote for their leaders which implies that they willingly want a Kafir Crusader to lead the Country that will fight Islam. However, he mentions that there are sensible people in the United States who are against their government; his advice to them is to stop the injustices of their Government and to do their best in preventing the people from electing the candidates. This is one of the reasons why voting leads to Kufr because one is giving help to the enemy of Allah without even being coerced to do so.

Pakistan and U.S. have tacit deal on airstrikes November 16, 2008

Senior officials say agreement allows attacks on suspected terrorists

The United States and Pakistan reached tacit agreement in September on a don’t-ask-don’t-tell policy that allows unmanned Predator aircraft to attack suspected terrorist targets in rugged western Pakistan, according to senior officials in both countries. In recent months, the U.S. drones have fired missiles at Pakistani soil at an average rate of once every four or five days.

The officials described the deal as one in which the U.S. government refuses to publicly acknowledge the attacks while Pakistan’s government continues to complain noisily about the politically sensitive strikes.

The arrangement coincided with a suspension of ground assaults into Pakistan by helicopter-borne U.S. commandos. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said in an interview last week that he was aware of no ground attacks since one on Sept. 3 that his government vigorously protested.

Officials described the attacks, using new technology and improved intelligence, as a significant improvement in the fight against Pakistan-based al-Qaeda and Taliban forces. Officials confirmed the deaths of at least three senior al-Qaeda figures in strikes last month.

‘No prior notice’
Zardari said that he receives “no prior notice” of the airstrikes and that he disapproves of them. But he said he gives the Americans “the benefit of the doubt” that their intention is to target the Afghan side of the ill-defined, mountainous border of Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), even if that is not where the missiles land.

Civilian deaths remain a problem, Zardari said. “If the damage is women and children, then the sensitivity of its effect increases,” he said. The U.S. “point of view,” he said, is that the attacks are “good for everybody. Our point of view is that it is not good for our position of winning the hearts and minds of people.”

A senior Pakistani official said that although the attacks contribute to widespread public anger in Pakistan, anti-Americanism there is closely associated with President Bush. Citing a potentially more favorable popular view of President-elect Barack Obama, he said that “maybe with a new administration, public opinion will be more pro-American and we can start acknowledging” more cooperation.

The official, one of several who discussed the sensitive military and intelligence relationship only on the condition of anonymity, said the U.S-Pakistani understanding over the airstrikes is “the smart middle way for the moment.” Contrasting Zardari with his predecessor, retired Gen. Pervez Musharraf, the official said Musharraf “gave lip service but not effective support” to the Americans. “This government is delivering but not taking the credit.”

From December to August, when Musharraf stepped down, there were six U.S. Predator attacks in Pakistan. Since then, there have been at least 19. The most recent occurred early Friday, when local officials and witnesses said at least 11 people, including six foreign fighters, were killed. The attack, in North Waziristan, one of the seven FATA regions, demolished a compound owned by Amir Gul, a Taliban commander said to have ties to al-Qaeda.

In this specific hotel, the American’s (some said even Marines were present) were planning against the Mujahideen of Pakistan. Who knows what they were doing; giving up coordination points to the American military so that they can use their missiles to strike Pakistan from Afghanistan. Regardless of our views about this incident, one thing that stands out is that it has put a huge security scare in the hearts of the CIA personnel and the American Intelligence Community.
