“And seek help in patience and prayer…” [al-Baqarah: 45] October 12, 2008
Posted by revolution in : Knowledge, Qur'Än, True ShuyÅ«kh , 5 commentsSayyid Qutb, rahimahullah, said:
“The weak, short-lived, limited human being must connect himself to the Greater Power, in order that he draw assistance from Him when the strength he requires exceeds that which is in his limited capacity, and when he faces both the open and hidden forces of evil, and when it becomes too difficult for him to remain firm upon the path of repelling his desires and stinginess, and when it becomes too difficult for him to struggle against tyranny and evil when they become violent, and when the road becomes too long, and when the hardships extend throughout his limited lifespan - and he looks to find that he has acheived nothing, while he feels he will be taken away soon; he has given nothing, and the sun of his life is about to set - and when he looks to find that evil is powerful, good is powerless, and there is no glimmer in the sky, and no milestone upon the path.
Here, the value of the prayer is realized.
It is the direct connection between the perishable human being and the Everlasting Power. It is the chosen, appointed time for the meeting between an isolated droplet and the fountain that never ceases gushing forth. It is the key to the treasure that fulfills, satisfies, and is overflowing. It is a transition from the limits of the puny worldly reality to the vast dimension of the universal reality. It is the refreshing breeze and shade in the midst of repressive heat. It is the touch of concern and protection for the exhausted heart. Because of this, the Messenger of Allah, when he was in a situation of hardship, would say: “Relax us with it, O Bilal,” and would increase in his prayer when he was afflicted with an overwhelming affair.
Verily, this Islamic manhaj is one of worship, and worship contains many secrets. From these secrets is that it serves as provision for the journey, a gift for the soul, and a polish for the heart. Wherever there is hardship and burden, there is worship to serve as the key to the heart, to help it taste these burdens and hardships as being sweetened, filtered, and light.”

The virtue of reciting Qur’aan secretly July 11, 2008

Who really wrote the Bible? …Honestly? May 22, 2008
Posted by revolution in : Christianity, Knowledge, Qur'Än, Videos , 47 commentsIt’s the type of question that the Christian laymen avoid. It is a question which if answered correctly, destroys the foundations of the Christian faith. It is known in the Christian world that the Bible has been re-written a few times. This by itself poses the question: Is the Bible a book that is trustworthy? Is it really the word of God? And how can we trust its accuracy and strength when it has been re-written by those who didn’t live during the time of Jesus and there is no copy of the original Bible today which is pure?
In this fascinating and mind-bending documentary entitled “Who wrote the Bible?”, Dr. Robert Beckford searches for the answers. He takes a trip to various places around the world to find the questions that are burning the Christian faith. In the end, the questions still stand and all the Christians resort to is “to have faith.” It is to have faith on those things which are non-existent and extremely difficult to prove. Some will even go as far as using their personal account of super natural experiences as “evidence” that the Bible is the literal word of God whilst forgetting that people of other faiths have their own super natural experiences to come closer to god.
The Qur’aan however, all praises and thanks belong to Allah, has never been changed or re-written. The copy which we have today is the same exact copy of the most historical Qur’aan that is sitting in the Islaamic Museum. The Caliph, ‘Uthmaan bin Afaan, who died over 1400 years ago, had ordered for the Qur’aan to be written down. The process of filtering was very strict, logical and consistent. In short, it was based off of the memorization of Qur’aan - since many Muslims had memorized the entire Qur’aan by that time directly from Prophet Muhammad - and they compared each others memorization and there were no problems; there were no verses omitted nor any verses added. A Muslim today can go to the Museum and compare the copy of Qur’aan he has with the earliest copy and he will not find any differences. This is one of the miracles of the Qur’aan which Allah has promised.
Verily We: it is we who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’ân) and surely, we will Guard it (from corruption). [15:9]
So our message to the Christians is simple: compare the simplicity and accuracy of our source of compilation versus the complexity and dangerously questionable compilation of your source.
How can one then believe the Bible to be the book of god when it is filled with the words of men who are not companions of Jesus? It is a brutal question that deserves an honest answer.
In addition, St. Paul - an individual who was a significantly major authority upon the Bible - was a person who never followed Jesus during his existence and based his writings on his so-called “inspirations from God” whereas the Caliph ‘Uthmaan and thousands of other Companions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, were alive during their Prophet’s time and they all had the Qur’aan memorized and deeply rooted in their hearts and minds, directly from the Prophet.
Islaam is a religion based on the worship of the One God, Allah, the Creator, the Sustainer, the Merciful, the Forgiving, the All-Powerful, the All-Knower, the All-Wise. It is He who inspired Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all the Prophets to worship Him alone without any sons or partners. It is He who has Created the entire Universe and knows everything that is within it. It is He who created life and death; and all of us will go back to Him to answer for our deeds which we have done in the life of this temporary world full of distractions.
How can Christians accept the Bible when the various versions contradict itself? May 18, 2008

How can you, the Christian, accept Christianity whilst knowing that one version is different from the other whereas the Qur’aan has only one version that has never changed since its revelation?
How can the Bible be the word of God when man keeps changing it?
America, we do not accept your stinking apology of shooting our Noble Qur’aan
Posted by revolution in : News, Qur'Än, United States of Losers , 3 comments
We want to make our message clear to the American Tyrants and those with them:
We do not accept your stinking apology for desecrating our Qur’aan, once again. Had the US Sniper not been caught by that ‘Iraqi individual, the truth of the matter is that the sniper would have continued using the Qur’aan for sniping practice. The apology was only made after being caught; so we can imagine that there is a possibility of many other snipers/soldiers using the Qur’aan in a desecrating way, but in private, to laugh amongst their peers. They have been caught before and our expectations have not changed for the better simply because you are the enemies of Allah.
So accept the fact that this is a Crusade against Islaam and put your head down in shame for trying to think that you can deceive the Islaamic Ummah. We are the nation of honor, dignity, and Jihaad. We do not bow our heads down for you nor do we go out of our way to please you. You are the greatest hypocrites in this Century and we will forever remember this. You flush our Qur’aan down the toilet, not once, but many times, and then apologize. Then you do it again, and apologize. Then you urinate on the Qur’aan, and then apologize. And Allah knows how many times you are repeating this in secret or in front of the detainees of Guantanamo Bay. Then you use the Qur’aan for target practice, and then you apologize, kiss the Qur’aan, and give a brand new copy to the Apostates. We say: this is the book which you need to keep because of your extreme misguidance and hypocrisy; this is the book which will heal you and your soldiers. But since you don’t believe in such things, and wish to destroy the book of Allah, then go ahead with this attitude and see what will become of you when the Angels of death tear out your soul.
No matter how many times you may desecrate our Qur’aan, you will never find us desecrating your Holy Books. This is because we have morals and standards which we live by and we fear Allah.
The Mujaahideen that attack you daily will not forget this nor forgive this. They will desecrate you until you no longer exist or you leave our lands, humiliated.
On CNN, they reported the following:
A week ago in a police station shooting range on Baghdad’s western outskirts, the American-allied Iraqi militiaman found what one or more GIs had been using for target practice — a copy of the Quran, Islam’s holy book.
Riddled with bullets, the rounds piercing deep into the thick volume, the pages were shredded. Turning the holy book in his hands, the man found two handwritten English words, scrawled in pen. “F*** yeah.”
O Allah! We have failed You! Your Noble Book is humiliated and disrespected whilst we live in happiness, content and respect. O Allah! Please forgive us! Forgive us Ya Rabb!
My dear Islaamic Nation: Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, radiyallahu ‘anhu, was once sitting next to a man and he heard him mumbling. So he listened attentively and he heard the man abusing ‘Ali, Talhah and Zubair (radiyallahu ‘anhum). He told him to stop, but he would not listen and continued. Finally, Sa’d became extremely upset for the sake of Allah, and said to the man that if he did not control his tongue, he would put a curse on him. Arrogantly, the man told him that he was arrogating powers to himself and he asked him if he thought he was a Prophet. Listening to the man’s bitter words, he merely turned away. He went, made his ablutions for prayers and offered two nafl (supererogatory) units of prayer. Then he entreated Allah Almighty:
“O Allah! You know that this man is abusing men of purity, with whom You Yourself are Pleased because of their goodness. Surely You will not approve of these abuses. May this man be a lesson for such other men.”
He was barely done with his supplications when people saw that a raging she-camel had broken away from the rope which tethered her, and leaving her home, had entered in the midst of a crowd of people. It seemed as if she was looking for a particular person. In seconds, she had the head of a person in her bloodthirsty jaws and was shaking it violently from side to side. Finally, his neck broke and in no time he had become the prey of death. People were stunned into silence. The dead man was none other than the one who had been abusing the noble Companions a few minutes earlier, and against whom Sa’d bin Abi Waqqaas had appealed to Allah.
So brothers and sisters, make ablutions for prayer and offer two sincere nafl salah. Once finished, make a strong supplication to Allah to curse America.
“O Allah! You know that this Country is abusing men of purity, with whom You Yourself are Pleased because of their goodness. And you know that this Country is abusing Your Noble Book of Purity, with whom You Yourself are Pleased because it is Al-Huda lin Naas (the Guidance for humanity). Surely You will not approve of these abuses. May this Country be a lesson for such other Countries. May Your Curse be upon this Country for its abuses to which none of it is hidden to You, O Allah! Curse them, humiliate them, save us from these wretched people, and grant the Mujaahideen a powerful and sealing victory over her.”
This is how you make your du’aa no longer something of “talk.” This is how you make your du’aa serious in the eyes of Allah.
May Allah accept our du’a.
What is meant by the phrase, “Taking kaafirs as close friends and protectors is haraam April 14, 2008
Posted by revolution in : Knowledge, Qur'Än , 9 commentsThis is an excellent fatwa from Shaykh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid (hafidhullah). You should spread this around to others, especially those who don’t see a problem with any of the points in the list below.
Question:
We hope that you will be able to explain, with examples, what is meant by the phrase, “Taking kaafirs as close friends and protectors is haraam.â€
Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.
Yes, examples will certainly explain and clarify what is meant, so we will move straight on to quoting some of the most important points that the scholars and leaders of da’wah have said about different ways of showing friendship towards kaafirs.
0. Accepting their kufr and doubting that it is kufr at all, or refraining from labelling them as kaafirs, or praising their religion. Allaah says about the kufr of the one who accepts them (interpretation of the meaning): “… but such as open their breasts to disbelief…†[al-Nahl 16:106]. Allaah says, making it obligatory to label the kaafirs as such (interpretation of the meaning): “… Whoever disbelieves in Taaghoot [false deities] and believes in Allaah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break…†[al-Baqarah 2:256]. Allaah says about the munaafiqoon (hypocrites) who prefer the kuffaar to the Muslims (interpretation of the meaning) “… [they] say to the disbelievers that they are better guided as regards the way than the believers (Muslims).†[al-Nisa’ 4:51].
1. Referring to them for judgement. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… they wish to got for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taaghoot (false judges, etc.) while they have been ordered to reject them…†[al-Nisa’ 4:60]
2. Befriending and liking them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “You will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger…†[al-Mujaadilah 58:22]
3. Inclining towards them, relying upon them and taking them as a support. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And incline not towards those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you…†[Hood 11:113]
4. Helping and supporting them against the Muslims. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “The believers, men and women, are awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another…†[al-Tawbah 9:71]. He also says of the kuffaar that they are “ but awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) to one another…†[al-Maa’idah 5:51]. And He says (interpretation of the meaning): “…And if any amongst you takes them as awliya’, then surely he is one of them.†[al-Maa’idah 5:51].
5. Becoming members of their societies, joining their parties, increasing their numbers, taking their nationalities (except in cases of necessity), serving in their armies or helping to develop their weapons.
6. Bringing their laws and rules to the Muslim countries. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Do they then seek the judgement of the Days of Ignorance?…†[al-Maa’idah 5:50]
7. Taking them as friends in general terms, taking them as helpers and supporters, and throwing in one’s lot with them. Allaah forbids all this, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as awliya’ (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but awliya’ to one another…†[al-Maa’idah 5:51].
8. Compromising with them and being nice to them at the expense of one’s religion. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so that they (too) would compromise with you.†[al-Qalam 68:9]. This includes sitting with them and entering upon them at the time when they are making fun of the Signs of Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And it has already been revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the Verses of Allaah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them), certainly in that case you would be like them…†[al-Nisa’ 4:140]
9. Trusting them and taking them as advisors and consultants instead of the believers. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who believe! Take not as (your) bitaanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made clear to you the aayaat (proofs, evidence, verses), if you understand. Lo! You are the ones who love them but they love you not, and you believe in all the Scriptures [i.e., you believe in the Tawraat and the Injeel, while they disbelieve in your Book (the Qur’aan)]. And when they meet you, they say, ‘We believe.’ But when they are alone, they bite the tips of their fingers at you in rage. Say: ‘Perish in your rage. Certainly Allaah knows what is in the breasts (all the secrets).’ If a good befalls you, it grieves them, but some evil overtakes you, they rejoice at it…†[Aal ‘Imran 3:118-120].
Imaam Ahmad and Muslim reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went out to (the battle of) Badr, and a man from among the mushrikeen followed him and caught up with him at al-Harrah. He said, “I wanted to follow you and join you, and have some of the war-booty with you.†(The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) said: “Do you believe in Allaah and His Messenger?†He said, “No.†He said, “Go back, I do not need help from a mushrik.â€
From these texts it is clear that we are forbidden to appoint kaafirs to positions whereby they could find out the secrets of the Muslims and plot against them by trying to do all kinds of harm.

Posted by revolution in : Knowledge, Qur'Än, True ShuyÅ«kh , 9 commentsShaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said,
“As for seeking to memorise the Qur‘aan, then this is to be given preference over many of the things that the people consider to be knowledge, but are - in reality - either totally useless, or having little benefit. It is also to be given precedence in learning especially by those who wish to acquire knowledge of the Deen, its principles and its particulars. Since what is prescribed for such a person at this time is that he should begin by memorising the Qur‘aan, as it is the foundation of the branches of the knowledge of the Deen. This is contrary to what is done by many of the people of innovation from the non-Arabs and other than them, in that one of them will pre-occupy himself with superfluous parts of knowledge; such as kalaam (rhetorical speech) and argumentation; or very rare matters of differences; and blind-following; which there is no need for; or very strange and rare ahaadeeth, which are not established, nor of benefit; and many discussions which do not establish proofs. And he abandons memorising the Qur‘aan which is more important than all of this.â€
[al-Fataawaa al-Kubraa (2/54-55)]
Muhammad Ibn al-Fadl (rahimahullah) said,
“I heard my grandfather say: I asked my father for permission to study under Qutaybah so he said: “First learn the Qur‘aan and then I will give you permission.†So I memorised the Qur‘aan by heart. So he said to me: “Remain until you have led the people in prayer with it (i.e for Taraaweeh Prayer).†So I did so, then after the ‘Eed he gave me permission, so I left for Marw.â€
[reported by adh-Dhahabi in Tadhkirat ul-Huffaadh (2/722)]
Imaam an-Nawawi (rahimahullah) said,
“So the first thing he should begin with is memorisation of the mighty Qur‘aan, which is the most important branches of knowledge. And the Salaf did not use to teach Hadeeth or Fiqh, except to one who memorised the Qur‘aan. So when he has memorised it, then let him beware of pre-occupying himself from it with Hadeeth, Fiqh or other things, to the extent that it leads him to forget anything of the Qur‘aan, or makes that likely.â€

One of the most beautiful Qur’aan Reciters to date March 26, 2008
Posted by revolution in : Qur'Än , 2 commentsShaykh Muhammad al-Luhaydaan is one of the most beautiful Qur’aan reciters to date. Here is his recitation album (it is the full Qur’aan) -
http://www.dhikrullah.com/quran/luhaidan.html
He is great at reciting when compared to others. This is because he - unlike many other contemporaries - actually repeats aayaat or parts of an aayah to get the message across; and whenever he repeats it, he does so in such a way to give the verse its full meaning to the listener. So when the listener hears his recitation and knows what is being recited, he can feel the spirit and power of al-Qur’aan.
