Shabab al-Mujahideen:: An Important Clarification Regarding the False News Broadcast by Al-Jazeera November 26, 2008

In the name of Allah, Most Merciful and Most Compassionate… Everyone is aware of the attempts by the crusader Western media to malign the mujahideen and to falsely accuse them of crimes that they did not commit. These media outlets directly aid the occupying crusade forces against Muslim nations. It is unfortunate that some of the media outlets in the Arab world have also followed the path of the crusader media that is fighting against the mujahideen. These outlets used to operate under a banner of equality, professional honor, and transparency when broadcasting their information.
Over the past two days, the Al-Jazeera network has published a completely false report, in which it alleged that a spokesman for the Shebaab al-Mujahideen Movement confirmed that the movement has threatened the pirates [in Somalia] and has offered guarantees for the release of the Saudi oil tanker. We question the accuracy of this report and demand that Al-Jazeera identify their unknown source. Did Al-Jazeera even try to confirm such reports with our media office, which is well-known to them?
Another awkward issue is the unsolicited involvement of Al-Jazeera in the jihad in Somalia. Al-Jazeera has stood side-by-side with the anti-Islamic media as it has covered the battles against the crusader forces. Everyone is familiar with the detrimental role Al-Jazeera has played by spreading false news about negotiations between those who surrendered from the Somali Hizb-ut-Tahrir and the apostate government. Al-Jazeera conducted a live broadcast covering this staged event, even though it actually had little interest in the real events taking place there. We do confirm that our media wing has indeed provided Al-Jazeera with some video footage and an interview with Sheikh Mukhtar [Robow] Abu Mansoor. However, all this material was simply placed into the archives of Al-Jazeera. Why is Al-Jazeera putting such emphasis on the information that it obtained from an un-credentialed spokesman, and yet totally ignoring an interview done over 2 years ago with our official spokesman? Also, Al-Jazeera has falsely invented communiques that it
claimed were the wills of the martyrdom attackers [i.e. suicide bombers] responsible for the operations in Hargeisa and Busaso—yet, we have never published any statements regarding the aforementioned attacks…
Finally, we inform you that the official spokesman for the movement is Shaykh Mukhtar [Robow] Abu Mansuur. The movement has an official website (www.kataaib.net) which carries our official statements. Additionally, we have an official wing that manages all of our audio, video, and written releases. That wing is known as the ‘Sada al-Jihad Media Center’ and it belongs to the Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF).
Thus, we deny responsibility for any statement published by any source other than the ones cited above. We ask all news channels to confirm [the accuracy of] their sources prior to any future broadcasts. We are closely following media coverage of global events in general—and, particularly, the current events taking place in Somalia. We shall never permit [ourselves to be subject to] any false accusations, and we know well how to respond to those responsible for them.

The following is taken from CBS News. Mashaa’Allaah, this Shaykh has the correct mentality and this is one of the major signs that Shabaab al-Mujaahideen are on the Haqq undoubtedly:
An interview with “the leader and spokesperson†of the Somali Shabab al Mujaheddin movement was published in a special issue of an online magazine issued by an al-Qaeda linked media outlet.
Mukhtar Ali Rubo, who is also known as Abi Mansour, claimed his movement had control over most of Somalia with the exception of three cities. He spoke about jihad in Somalia and launched a scathing attack on the ‘Islamic Courts Union’ for giving up armed struggle to participate in the political processes with the secular governments.
Mansour said his movement would not give up the fighting against “the crusaders†until they’ve withdrawn from Somalia and stressed it would not engage in any form of negotiations with any political entity in the country. “To our people in Palestine, we could not say more than what the world jihadi leaders have already said; such as our Sheikh Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Zawahri, Abu Yehya al-Libi, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and others,†Mansour said answering a question about the situation in Palestine. “We are fighting here in Somalia to free Palestine from the Jewish occupation. Along the lines of what al Zarqawi once said: We’re fighting in Somalia and our eyes are set on Palestine.â€
The interview appeared in a special issue of the monthly magazine “Echo of Jihad,†which is published by The Global Islamic Media Front on the Internet. Mansour appears to be the successor of Aden Hashi Ayro, the former leader of the group, who was killed in a U.S. airstrike on May 1.

Shabaab al-Mujaahideen arrive Somali town, starting operations May 7, 2008

After the Ethiopian troops recently based in Jowhar town pulled out from there a heavily armed fighters from the Islamic courts union have entered jowhar town 90km north of Mogadishu where they started security patrol on Tuesday night-residents said.
Armed with vehicles the fighters have begun house-to-house search operations in area in/surrounding Jowhar town to peruse illicit-groups those the residents have expressed concern.
The Islamists are reportedly wanted to hunt down gang groups in the town those make robbery acts in the town.
The fighters have also gone into Mahaday neighborhood nearby Jowhar town the provincial capital of Middle Shabelle region.
The Islamic fighters have previously withdrawn from the town after Ethiopian troops arrived in the town.
The residents in the township have hailed the arrival of the Islamic courts fighters.
No comments could be reached from the Islamic courts officials regarding on their returning of Jowhar town.
On April 27, al-Shabaab briefly took over the town of Jowhar for the third time in a single month. The group’s leaders told rallies that the fighters had not come to impose their rule, but were responding to the invitation of the local people. In 2006, the ICU preached a similar message when they ran over town after town across southern and central Somalia.
The ICU leaders said they had been invited to the villages, districts and regions and promised to deal with criminals terrorizing the people of the areas. But instead of occupying Jowhar this time, the forces withdrew before the arrival of Ethiopian and TFG forces.
Reports say eight towns in districts like Bu’ale, Qansah Dhere and Ufurow Bay and Middle Juba have fallen into the hands of Islamists. These are now under control of the young fighters after TFG administrators abandoned their posts before al-Shabaab arrived.

May Allah accept the shahaadah of our Mujahideen brothers who were martyred on the American air raid yesterday night in Dhuusa Mareeb.
Yesterday late night the aircrafts of the enemy of Allah, the American, attacked a house in the city of Dhuuse Mareeb, and as a result some Mujahideen were martyred, among them the Amir Aaden Xaashi Ceyrow, who were among the Umara of the Mujahideen of Al-Shabaab and Sheikh Muxyadiin Maxamed Cumar who are former leader of the health department of the Islamic Courts.
Our brother Aadan Xaashi and the other Mujahideen who were martyred got the expensive thing they where searching for, and that was to be killed on the path of Allah (sw) while defending the path of Allah (sw), and we ask Allah (sw) to accept theirs shahaada.
We will bring you on the coming days the live of Shahid Sheikh Aadan Xaashi Ceyrow, and at the same time it’s important to remember the great participation he had on the jihad in Somalia.
Shahid Aadan Xaashi took great part on all Jihad groups that were established in Somalia from the beginning of 1990’s. Also the Mujahid played major roles on the establishing the group of
Al-Shabaab Mujahideen, but he never became the head-amir of the whole Al-Shabaab.
The Shahid was a brave well known man all over the Islamic world and the kuffar world, and his name became a heart attack on the leaders of the salibiyiin, where the Americans are the first.
It’s sure that Allah blesses the blood of the shahada on the Jihad, and it’s a Sunna rabbani, especially when the qiyaadas of the troops, who are leading them, is martyred and that’s among the reasons to get victory.
Anyway, the Mujahideen of Al-Shabaab, headed by their Amir Sheikh Mukhtaar (Abu Zubayr) will double their deeds they were doing for the sake of Allah (sw) which’s Jihad, and the Jihad is more wide then the deeds connected to one man.
Finally, we are suggesting all Muslims, specially the people of Somalia who love their religion to confront the clear war that the kuffar coalition are waging on us, and their aim is to remove us from the religion and to make us servants and slaves for them, and we can’t accept that while one of us are in life.
Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord; They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah. And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (Martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve.
