The Path to Understanding 9/11: [7] How the Mujaahideen look at the event September 13, 2008

Posted by revolution in : The path to Understanding 9/11 , comments closed

In our last part of the series on “The Path to Understanding 9/11,” we now turn to the words of the intellectuals and think-tanks amongst the Mujaahideen; this is the last stage to opening our eyes to a world that is not even thought about in the West: people who know why 9/11 was done and what were the benefits behind it.

What is important to note is that what happened on 9/11 was not an attempt to hurt the US economy, even if the strike caused enormous damage. Rather, it was a symbolic, ideological strike that has accelerated the decline of America much like the decline of the Soviet Empire. It can be said that the strike was an attempt to escape the setbacks of the Jihaad in Egypt, Algeria, Chechnya, Bosnia, and Somalia at the end of the ’90s. It appears to have been an attempt to provoke the enemy which sits on top of his throne overseeing the world affairs; and by his response to the provocation, he seems to have fell into the trap of Usaamah bin Laadin which was to reunify the Mujahideen and mobilize the Muslim masses, as was done against the Soviets, but this time, a global Jihaad aimed at both the disbelieving and apostate regimes that stand in the way of the Shari’ah’s establishment. 9/11 was the ‘umf‘ that the vanguard of Islaam needed in order to remobilize its efforts and to see the greater picture; and the greater picture tells us that Allah is al-Akbar (The Greatest) whereas the United States is not. The image of the United States as a “feared Roman Empire” started to diminish with 9/11 and is now in the abyss of humiliation with its battles overseas.

By focusing his lenses on retaliation for the crimes of the United States, it seems that Usaamah actually had a deeper intent in-store for the Ummah at large.

We will be looking at a few articles taken from the magazine, “Kitaab al-Ansaar” in their issue focused on September 11th.

Before we post the links to each of the articles which have been translated, we will post the “Letter from the Editors” here to give our readers a brief introduction upon what they are about to embark upon. Although, the past articles in our series have made this issue of 9/11 clear, these articles take it a step further and thus, deserve the complete attention of those who ponder and this is why we saved the best for last.

What happened to the United States came as no surprise. All of these devastating operations are only part of the harvest that the United States has sown throughout the world. The United States was struck once, yet the United States has struck other countries on numerous occasions. The US people suffered once, yet other peoples have suffered–and continue to suffer–many times from the criminal acts of its Zionist government. Why should the United States not suffer some of what it has inflicted on others?

It also came as no surprise that behind this blessed raid stood the international jihad movement embodied by al-Qaa’idah. This organization has been working to this end for a long time. Its previous experience fighting the United States confirms that it is serious about going to whatever lengths necessary. The direct struggle with the United States began with the Al-Khubar explosions on the Arabian Peninsula. They were followed by the attacks on the US embassies in Tanzania and Nairobi and the incident with the destroyer Cole. All of these events prove the seriousness of al-Qaa’idah’s strategic intentions. It is determined to fight the United States and send it the way of the Soviet Union. Only the likes of al-Qaa’idah dare to take on the United States, which inspires dread the world over. The most important factor in this is faith [Imaan], which gives Muslims hope in their war with the enemy, no matter how arrogant he is, and spurs them on to break down the barriers of fear. Al-Qaa’idah can operate globally thanks to the individual capabilities of its members and the structure of its organization.

We will not discuss the perpetrators’ identity. The mujahideen put an end to this discussion immediately after the raid. Instead, on the one-year anniversary of the raid, we have chosen to discuss its intellectual, strategic, political, and educational ramifications in the first issue of our new project, “Writers of Al-Ansar.” This project aims to provide comprehensive treatment of Islamic issues, using an Islamic vision to put events in their proper context to help Muslims to understand and interpret correctly the events of the struggle.

Everyone recognizes that the raid was an event of worldwide importance. As such, it deserves study, and especially from an Islamic vantage point. Our enemies have already made every effort to muddy the waters. Their intent is to present the event in a tragic light, although it targeted a criminal state that is hostile to the Islamic community. The truth, however, is too great for poisoned pens and resentful shouts to harm it. The raid’s positive significance is obvious to all. It represented a qualitative shift in the clash between the Islamic community and its Jewish and Crusader enemies.

This book is an attempt to provide a serious interpretation of the event. Each of the writers examines the 11 September raid from a particular angle and supplies a unique view. Readers of varying interests will find here an overview of the event that shook the world.

The editors

We leave you off with the articles; the footnotes in these articles belong to the translators and not the original writers. The last article in our links below is not from the magazine and is a separate article written by a Scholar who looked at the 9/11 event in a totally unique and different light.

We hope you enjoyed this series and will now look at the “war on terrorism” as a war of hypocrisy and that you will look at September the 11th as a form of retaliation from the Islaamic world upon the tyrants of the West who are the heads of the oppressors that have been killing Muslims for years on end and supporting those who terrorize the Islaamic world for many years. This was not an attempt to justify 9/11, but this was merely an attempt to isolate ourselves from the views of the Media regarding this important day and to really dive deep into the subject unlike the media who is satisfied with their superficial knowledge that is empty of wisdom and musing and full of rhetoric and blindness.

It was the Badr of the 21st Century; the Badr of yesterday changed world events, so much so, that it gave confidence to the Mujaahideen to conquer nearly half the world years later. The Badr of today is a revitalization of that very concept and it only seeks to equal the playing field between the oppressed and its oppressors.

The Path to Understanding 9/11: [6] The Will of the Hijackers September 12, 2008

Posted by revolution in : The path to Understanding 9/11 , comments closed

For the average American (and Westerner), not much is known about the 19 Hijackers, the lives they led, the sacrifices they made, and the motivations that led them to be known as the 19. In the path to understanding September 11th, it is important to understand why the people who did it acted upon their intention. For the ignorants who don’t give a thought to reality, they often brush off outside information - that is, information which the Government doesn’t want them to see. So here, we present to you the will of some of the hijackers.

Not all of the wills have been released; but it seems more is to come in the near future. Some of the wills have already been presented in yesterday’s entry in the video, “Knowledge is for acting upon.”

Now that you have understood the immense frustration and great anger of Usaamah bin Laadin - which is all for the sake of the religion - against the head of this snake, America, this helps you realize that this so-called “war on terrorism” is a complete cover up (to the reality of this war) and that there is another side to the war… the unreported side which the Government purposely hides from you since they want to make the appearance of the enemy seem simple: that they are terrorists and that they are the bad guys. The reality is that these “terrorists” are far above this and have morals, aspirations and ethics that are much greater than what the United States makes them to be.

Here, we turn to a few documentaries and videos (and one book) to understand this a step further:

The Path to Understanding 9/11: [4] America’s presence in Saudi Arabia September 10, 2008

Posted by revolution in : The path to Understanding 9/11 , comments closed

In our series of understanding the path to 9/11, the next page of history we turn to is the American occupation of Saudi Arabia. It is an occupation of direct slavery between the Saudi Kingdom and America and indirect slavery between the people of Saudi and America; the Saudi Government has already admitted that it is impossible to have the Americans leave the Peninsula. Originally, the people thought that the Americans were invited to defend the land against Saddam Hussein - which was already fishy considering America’s history and their heavy support for Israel, but the reality of the situation was that they were invited to occupy the Holy Land - or in professional language, to “establish a bond between the West and the Middle East” - and use it as a base against the other lands of the Muslims such as Iraq and Afghanistan and to protect the interests of Saudi Arabia, chiefly its oil.

In order to understand this vital nerve in the body of Usaamah bin Laadin, we turn to a few religious texts regarding this situation of having the disbelieving superpower of the world establishing itself in the most Holiest land in the world and what Islaam has to say about it. It is a religious issue as opposed to a secular or nationlistic one. The first link is a documentary about the history of the third establishment of Saudi Arabia.

1. House of Saud

2. Objective (1) - Repelling the Invader by ‘Abdullah bin Naasir ar-Rasheed

3. Objective (2) - Expel the Mushrikeen from the Arabian Peninsula by ‘Abdullah bin Naasir ar-Rasheed

4. Declaration of War Against the American’s Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places by Shaykh Usaamah bin Laadin

5. The Operation of 11 Rabi Al-Awwal - The East Riyaadh Operation & Our War with the United States & its Agents

And from Saudi Arabia’s Military participation in Afghanistan against the Mujaahideen - with the help of the Americans - it is clear that the Saudi Kingdom had plans of making America an ally both economically and strategically, even if it meant sacrificing the blood and lands of the Muslims. In short, the Saudi Ruling Family are traitors to the world of Islaam.

[An Iraqi child affected by America's use of Depleted Uranium pre-invasion]

This is the second page in history which we must pay attention to.

The question we tackle here is: “What did the US do in Iraq prior to the invasion?”

The simple answer: The US use of Depleted Uranium in the Persian Gulf War and the UN’s Economic Siege on Iraq.

Here, we have presented to you a few works to go through to truly grasp what happened in our contemporary history against Iraq; and mind you, with the invasion of Iraq and all the evil that spilled over, Usaamah bin Laadin and the Mujaahideen are even more aggravated by the foreign policy of the US.

The Path to Understanding 9/11: [2] What is really going on in Palestine? September 9, 2008

[Graffiti left overnight by Jewish settlers on a Palestinian home in Hebron]

After understanding from yesterday’s post which showed Usaamah’s interview, his focus has always been the issue of Palestine. And because of the immense American financial and military support for Israel, this heavily influenced Usaamah’s decision to attack America. Thus, we will turn back to history and witness what happened and what has ticked the world’s most wanted man into doing what he did in New York and Washington.

We turn to the question: “What is really going on in Palestine?”

Here, we have gathered some documentaries regarding this extremely important question and will leave you to decide what’s really occurring in the occupied Palestine.

2. The Philosophy of Zionism and Israel

3. Dispatches: The Killing Zone

In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Ever Merciful

All the Praises and Thanks belong to Allah, the Lord of Everything. And may the peace and blessings be upon his Final Messenger.

We welcome all of you - both Muslims and non-Muslims - to our 1 week series on “The path to Understanding 9/11.” We ask Allah to forgive the Muslims and give us the strength and ability to communicate the truth as we have understood it and accepted it.

We would like to start with a poem from the perspective of an American citizen who used to work at the South Tower of WTC and narrowly escaped the entire incident; today, he sits on top of a skyscraper in Manhattan and overlooks the area where the towers once stood; his intellect fights with his soul in trying to conclude a balanced answer:

Why were the towers brought down that day?

What have I done that day?

What soul did I lay my hands upon?

What soul did I anger?

Am I the focus of this attack,

Or is it my Government?

Surely, I do not remember committing any major crime,

But I can point out a million and one crimes

Of my Government.

The people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were punished

For the actions of their Government;

Could this be our turn for punishment?

If so, I accept the punishment,

Because we deserve it…

My Government killed over 1 million Iraqi’s

With their Depleted Uranium,

They killed dozens of innocents

In Operation Infinite Reach,

They give financial and military aid to Israel,

Who have killed thousands of innocent Palestinians,

And who shamelessly slaughtered the innocents in Qana,

They support the tyrants in the Muslim lands,

And they have infiltrated Muslim lands by establishing their bases.

So could it be that the Muslims are waking up after their slumber?

Could it be that the Muslims are realizing how dishonored they have become,

Thus, leading them to punishing the head of this snake:

My Government?

I can only bury my head in my hands in shame.

The focus and theme of our series is: “Why did they do this?”

The “they” here is in reference to those who claimed the attacks, which is Shaykh Usaamah bin Laadin and his movement, al-Qaa’idah.

The question arises: “Why is this the theme? Aren’t they just a group of nomadic bloodthirsty savages that hate America for its freedom?”

From the lenses of justice, fair-play and solid evidence, the answer is an astounding no.

We are not interested in long-winded discussions about who did 9/11 and if it was an inside job; we have already addressed this subject in our book, “Refuting the Conspiracies Surrounding As-Sahab Media.” Instead, we are focusing on this theme because it is a theme which the Western media has either deliberately ignored or their knowledge was filtered through the reports of the Pentagon. Thus, as an alternative, we present the reasons to the world in general, and the Americans in particular, as to why the al-Qaa’idah Organization attacked America on September 11th.

In order to properly understand the views of Shaykh Usaamah bin Laadin, we must turn to see what he had to say. In October 2001, just a few weeks after the US Invasion of Afghanistan, the al-Jazeera journalist, Tayseer ‘Alouni, interviewed Usaamah bin Laadin. This interview is the single most important interview that Usaamah bin Laadin has ever given, yet the Pentagon filtered it from the eyes of the public; thus, it is well-known as “the unpublished interview of Usaamah.” Not only did Usaamah confirm that he was behind the attacks, but he gave the reasons as to why he did it; and anyone with a heart that sees his words would look towards their own Government in complete disgust.

Imagine a Government that committed atrocities and supported tyrants that committed atrocities for many years who then hid those events in the closet of history and then showed a face of complete innocence on 9/11 as if it were a new-born that was benefiting the world at large… this is precisely what happened with the US Government. The American public are so ignorant regarding world events that its horrendous; and their blind support appeared for their Government after 9/11, waving the American flag - the flag that is tainted with stains of atrocities and hypocritical justice - whilst allowing their Government commit more atrocities across the world in Afghanistan, Iraq, Guantanamo, Somalia and so forth. This is a wake up call to the American public to understand their Governments history and what type of Country they really live in.

Do Americans live in a Country that is totally independent of the world such that it doesn’t impose its power upon the weak? Do Americans live in a Country that is neutral in its foreign policy that it’s impossible to conceive it committing atrocities? Do Americans live in a Country that is led by an ultra-conservative Government that doesn’t export its evils? Do Americans live in a Country that is truly founded on justice that it’s completely unfathomable to believe that it fully supports tyrants around the world?

Is this America?

The America were we go out for baseball games,

And cheer for our favorite teams,

And compete in fun and sports around the Country?

Is this the same America which I can speak freely in?

Is this the America which I can get away with wild actions?

Is this the land of the free which I was brought up to understand?

Or is there someone at the very top who is doing so much evil

That the saying will be applied to us:

“What goes around, comes around”?

In this series, we will attempt to look at 9/11 from the perspective of the other; the perspective which is labeled as too “unworthy” to understand. And it was only given such a title by those who let their emotions get the best of them. As Usaamah bin Laadin said,

I say to the ones who talk about the innocents in America, they haven’t tasted yet the heat of the loss of children, and they haven’t tasted the look on the faces of the children in Palestine and other places.

The Americans thought they understood the feeling of living in a “war-torn” Country where they lose innocents left and right everyday; but the reality is, their experience was only a few hours compared to the 50+ years of oppression that the Muslims in Palestine have gone through.

So here, we present to you this interview translated into English; Usaamah bin Laadin is interviewed by Tayseer ‘Alouni in 2001:

Why did al-Qaa’idah attack America on September the 11th?

Was it because of personal greed and their hatred for our freedoms?

Was it because they are savages and don’t understand anything else beyond their anger?

Or are they intelligent, rational and religious people that responded as harsh as the United States had oppressed the Muslim world for many years?

Does the media bring to our attention that it was an act of retaliation for the murder of millions of Muslims?

Or does the media tell us that they are the “voices of evil” that kill for the sake of killing?

Is there another perspective to 9/11 than just the American perspective which the world shares due to the globalized village via the media?

Do the average people of the world know the answers to these questions?

This is not an attempt to justify 9/11 or promote it or agree to it, but this is merely an attempt to isolate ourselves from the views of the Media regarding this important day and to really dive deep into the subject unlike the media who is satisfied with their superficial knowledge that is empty of wisdom and musing and full of rhetoric and blindness.

It is an attempt to bring the world into the perspective of those who are responding to extreme oppression after decades. When understanding the motivations, some might even ask, “Why did it take this long?”

We invite you to our 1 week series: “The Path to Understanding 9/11.” In this week, we will post one entry a day, for seven days, regarding how to understand 9/11 the way it was meant to be understood. It is a test of not only the intellectual prowess - as separating emotions from rationale is necessary - to go beyond the words of the media, but also a test of our allegiance and disavowal. For the Country we saw as innocent on that day, were they really innocent or did they successfully shove all of their atrocities in the closet of history from the American public and the world in general and loudly declared war upon the perpetrators? Was there a declaration of war and a great warning by the opposition much before that day? If so, what motivated the declaration?

To understand these questions and more,

Join us to understand 9/11… from September 8 - 14.
